Nancy and I spotted these folks heading down the road outside of Leran this morning. I have no clue who they are, where they are coming from and where they are going to. I think they are not Roma, or Gypsies but I have little to base that judgement on. Why was she leading the horses? The workmanship on the wagon was beautiful, very nicely done.
He's old enough to be her father. Are they related? The sign says "Attention Chevaux" but you can barely see it through the mountain bike. There is also some kind of antenna for...........tv, radio, what?

Well, I guess you knew you'd hear from me. I love the caravan. You are near Basque country so it makes sense that there are caravans in your neck of the woods. The under carriage reminds me of ours although our outside needs a little work. I know in Ireland they have these wagons. A friend and her five younger siblings were given one of these with a horse that knew the way and they traveled without their parents for three weeks. Evidently the food was provided at the stops the horse made. Wouldn't it be a wonderful way to see the country side? Love, Leslie
Do they live in this and it is moving day?
I'm gonna go ahead and confidently say that they are on a bicycle ride across France and this is their RV/Sag Wagon.
Madeleine thinks they have owned their horses for a long time and they don't have much money so they can't afford a car and a house so this is how they live. The mother is asleep inside.
